The theme of this year’s event is Tuna and the Ria Formosa, whose work in fisheries has made a decisive contribution over the years to the socio-economic development of the Tavira region. The aim is to explore the potential of tuna and to affirm its place in local gastronomy, looking at a range of ways of preparing and presenting it, both in more traditional recipes and in contemporary cuisine. Some of the chefs who have confirmed that they will be attending include: Miguel Rocha Vieira, Nuno Diniz, Henrique Sá Pessoa, Joaquim de Sousa, Hélio Loureiro, Hans Neuner and João Simões.
